SCOPE 

The Michigan Achievement Scholarship offers renewable awards for undergraduates who complete their high school education in Michigan with a Diploma, certification of fulfillment, or attain a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 onwards. Eligible students should be enrolled in a recognized Postsecondary institution within Michigan. SCHOLARSHIPS DETAILS.

The grant offers a maximum of $5,500 annually for a span of five years to individuals who go to a public university in Michigan or are part of a bachelor’s degree course at a community college in Michigan. The Michigan Achievement Scholarship (MAS) is applicable for covering tuition costs, obligatory fees, and additional expenditures linked to education like accommodation and meals. This initiative significantly aids students from Michigan in managing college expenses and realizing their scholarly aspirations.

  • $2,750 annually for a period of three years if you enroll in a community college within Michigan.
  • $5,500 per year for a maximum of five years if you opt to attend a public university in Michigan or are registered in a bachelor’s degree program at a community college within the state.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  1. To be eligible for an award, a student must:
  2. ★Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. ★Demonstrate financial need by having an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $25,000 or lower.
  4. ★Successfully finish high school in Michigan, having earned a diploma, a certificate of completion, or a high school equivalency certificate in 2023 or later.
  5. ★Enroll in an eligible educational institution within 15 months of high school graduation or earning a high school equivalency certificate.
  6. ★Register for full-time studies as determined by the participating institution.

  8. ★Have been a resident of Michigan since July 1 of the preceding calendar year.
  9. ★If you are a dependent student, your parent must also have been a Michigan resident since July 1 of the preceding calendar year.
  10. ★Hold U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status with approval.
  11. ★Not currently incarcerated.
  12. ★Be an undergraduate student.
  13. ★Not have defaulted on a Federal student loan.
  14. *For renewal, you must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) policy of the institution.

In order to be eligible for the Michigan Achievement Scholarship, a student is required to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
