APPLY NOW – 2023-2024 Mit Scholarships For International Students

SCOPE 

The Melbourne Institute of Technology International Excellence Scholarship was created as a direct result of MIT’s aim to establish an atmosphere that encourages and enables students from all over the globe to be motivated and excel.[the_ad id=”2313″]

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS 

This scholarship is exclusively offered to international students who are starting an undergraduate or postgraduate program during either the March or July trimester (excluding the November trimester) at MIT. The list of eligible programs can be found under item number 5 in this document. Recipients are chosen based on their academic achievements demonstrated through their previous studies.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

2.1 FOR UNDERGRADUATE APPLICANTS:

The MIT IE Scholarships are granted to undergraduate applicants who have:

Enrolled as a full-time student and are commencing international students for the applicable trimester. The scholarship does not cover the November or summer trimester.

Completed Australian Year 12 or its equivalent with an overall grade average of 70% or higher, with no individual result below 65% and no recorded fail grades (no exceptions will be considered).[the_ad id=”2313″]

Obtained an IELTS (academic) result with an overall score of 7.0, with no band score lower than 6.5. The application must include supporting documentation of a valid IELTS certification taken within two years of the application date.

Submitted a 500-800-word essay outlining the importance of receiving the scholarship.

Not being sponsored by organizations or governments.

Submitted a complete MIT International Excellence Scholarship Form when applying for admission to MIT.

2.2 FOR POSTGRADUATE APPLICANTS:

This Scholarships are awarded to postgraduate applicants who have:

Enrolled as a full-time student and are commencing international students for the applicable trimester. The scholarship does not cover the November or summer trimester.[the_ad id=”2313″]

Completed a minimum of three years of undergraduate study in Australia or its equivalent overseas (according to NOOSR guide) with an overall grade average of 70% or higher, with no individual result below 65% and no recorded fail grades (no exceptions will be considered).

Obtained an IELTS (academic) result with an overall score of 7.0, with no band score lower than 6.5. The application must include supporting documentation of a valid IELTS certification taken within two years of the application date.[the_ad id=”2313″]

PROCESSING OF SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

3.1 Processing Applications before Course Commencement:

All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will undergo an interview. The interview serves two purposes: to verify the information provided by the applicant and to assess the applicant’s verbal communication skills.

Effective and easily understandable verbal communication and public speaking skills are crucial for being considered a well-rounded MIT scholar.

Applicants who do not meet the criteria during the interview stage will not be further considered. These interviews will be conducted by the Admissions department. [the_ad id=”2313″]

REWARD AND AWARDS 

Successful applicants who receive a scholarship will have a fee reduction equivalent to 20% of the tuition fee for the program they are enrolled in for the starting trimester (March or July). If not eligible for the March or July trimester, the scholarship does not apply to the November trimester. This scholarship is non-transferable to another institute’s campus.[the_ad id=”2313″]
